I've missed my chance.... it's too late for pictures.

Wrong! The good news is that it's not too late. There are a ton of great ways to still have pictures take for Christmas cards or gifts without having you freeze.

Your house (and yard) is a great place for pictures.  It's the place your children are probably most comfortable and it's the place that reflects your family.  Here are a few examples.

You would never know from this picture that the wind is GUSTING and it's not even 30 degrees.  As long as there's a place to warm up, it's easy to run out and get a couple of pictures before dashing back into the warm.

Jodi, Sam, Cal, Riley, & Libby

I first met Jodi when I was her maternity leave sub when she had her son, Cal.  I could hardly believe when she told me that it had been 7 years already!  Since then they have added the beautiful Riley and adorable Libby to their family.  We spent part of a warm afternoon at their home and at a playground in town.  I love taking pictures of friends!  It's just so much fun!    

Joylynn, Steve, Mark & Anna

Lapacek's Orchard is a wonderful location for a photo shoot so I was thrilled when Joylynn called requesting family pictures there. They added adorable Anna to their family 6 months ago and were excited to update their family pictures.  A little while into our conversation we put together the fact that Joylynn's husband and I went to high school together.   Small world!

Friends from college, who got married to each other, just had their second beautiful daughter. I couldn't have been more excited to take pictures for them.  Both of their girls are just precious!  Few things are better to me than being able to catch up with friends while taking their pictures.  

Peyton: Senior

Peyton is an incredibly sweet senior. I had heard wonderful things about her and really enjoyed our time together.  Since she was a little girl, Peyton knew that she wanted to work with animals when she grew up.  I was impressed to learn she currently works at a vet clinic, as well as volunteers at a Trail Dust Equestrian - a therapeutic riding center.  And as it turns out, today is her birthday.  Happy Birthday Peyton! 

Vegas was a trooper as we played around with positions and poses!  What a sweet horse!

Greta, Tyler, & Myka

I was SO excited when a friend from college asked me to take pictures of her family! Even better, I got to travel to a new place to shoot. I love exploring new towns and Osceola has a ton to offer - apple orchard, waterfall, train station and more.  Additionally it was so fun to spend time with these guys!  Myka is so cute and she's gotten big since I saw her last time.

These cute twins are now 3. They've changed to much since our last shoot. Last year, we had a shoot on a very cold morning so the warm of this year was a nice change. I know I've mentioned it before, but I'll say it again. I absolutely love when I get to work with the same clients repeatedly. It's fun to be a small part of people's lives as their children grow.
