Kae: Senior

Kae is a senior exchange student from the Philippians who was recently featured in the Wisconsin State Journal!  She started the shoot unsure of having so many pictures taken by herself, but by the end was changing positions with the ease of a model.  Kae has a sweet personality and warm heart.  I had a wonderful time with her!

Tamminga Family

BRUTALLY COLD best describes my shoot with this great family. The temperature wasn't too low, but the wind was nearly unbearable. There were chattering teeth, blue lips, and frozen fingers.   However, this family was amazing through it!  You may remember a few of them from a shoot a couple of weeks ago.  This shoot was for pictures of the other side of the family.  It's been a blast getting to know all of them!  In total, 4 generations are represented.

Have you ever heard of a waterproof blanket??!?  This was new to me, but perfect for our shoot this past weekend.  After rain all day, we lucked out to have a few dry moments right when our shoot was scheduled to begin.  This family was so fun!  They're were up for anything, made each other laugh often, and smiled through the cold.

Alexis: Christmas Dresses

My niece, Alexis, has a couple of adorable dress options for Christmas and I couldn't resist dressing her up and playing with pictures this past week.  Let me know if you want to do a 'mini session' to get a few pics of your kiddo.

Next to photographing people, my next biggest passion is flowers.   I am continually amazed by the intricate detail and variety found in each blossom.  Over and over I am awestruck by the amazing beauty.

St. Mary's Care Center: Therapy Department

I got to spend part of a morning with the wonderful Physical and Occupational Therapy Staff at St. Mary's Care Center. I was impressed with their care, creativity, and compassion.      

Christmas Tree Farm

One of my favorite jobs in high school was working at a Christmas Tree Farm in Poynette. I loved this job! It was so fun to see all the excitement everyone had when they came to pick out their tree. Capture that joy by hiring me to come with you when you get your tree this year.

Britt, Brett, Cassie, Riana, & Saphira

I love getting to do multiple shoots with the same family. Earlier this fall I got to know Cassie during her senior picture shoot and recently I spent time with the rest of her family. They live in a wonderful old farmhouse and have a yard filled with wonderful backdrop options. 

Zach: Senior

Zach is a senior at a local high school. We survived a chilly afternoon together for his senior pictures.   Thankfully I had on a winter coat..... Zach was not so lucky, but he did great!

Kim: Masseuse

Do you remember Kim from a couple of posts ago?

Megan, Matt, Lauren & Sam

Megan and I worked in the same district and I was excited to meet her kids and husband at their family photo shoot.   I had a wonderful time wandering around on a beautiful fall day in downtown Madison.  Her daughter Lauren drew me pictures and brought them to the shoot.  Too cute!
