Kayleigh & Mark: 2 Year Anniversary.... and more

I love that photography tells a story.  And I'm so honored to be able to share in the big and small moments in my client's stories.  This shoot has one of those big moments and it's one that I will remember for years to come.   

Kayleigh and Mark contacted me to take pictures for their 2 year anniversary.  It's been a year since I took Kayleigh's senior pictures. I was looking forward to a chance to catch up with her and get to know Mark.

We started hiking a trail at beautiful Devil's Lake.  

While swatting a 'spider' she imagined to be in her hair, Kayleigh almost missed what Mark was doing.  Thankfully I did not, so I was able to capture this memory for them.

 

After a few touching words from Mark, Kayleigh said 'yes!'.

And then with smiles even bigger than before, we continued with their shoot.

Michael: Senior

The initial plan for Michael's senior pictures was to take them in the snow.  Who would have thought we would have had such a tough time making that happen for him?!?!?  Such a crazy Wisconsin winter we had.  Thankfully he was flexible and we had a beautiful spring day for his shoot. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation Michael! 

Steven + Kristen = Love

My little brother got married a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations Steven and Kristen! I can't post any picture from the ceremony because I was in the wedding, but I do have before the ceremony and during the reception pictures to share from their day. Welcome to our family Kristen!

Jennifer, Joylynn, Steve, Mark, Anna, Kirstin, Elizabeth and Zach

I love repeat families! And it's even more fun when they bring along more of their family for me to get to know. I first met Joylynn 6 months ago at their shoot at Lapacek's (wonderful) Orchard when we realized that I went to high school with her husband. For this shoot they added in Joylynn's extended family which their kids clearly adore.  Thanks for a great time guys!

Barn at Harvest Moon Pond

There is a new business in the Poynette area that I am SO excited about!  I was honored when they asked me to take pictures for their website. 

The Barn at Harvest Moon Pond has been in the family since 1865.  Renovations began a little more than a year ago to turn their barns into a conference center and wedding venue.  I need to tell you that it's AMAZING!  Renee and Gary have thought of all the details - a warm fireplace, bridal room with 5 mirrors and a private bathroom, guys room with poker table and tv,  a spectacular bar with rustic lamps, beautiful stain glass windows, and much much more!

Heather, Aronn, and Alexis: Spring Blossoms

Every couple of months I can't resist getting some new pictures of my niece and her parents.  I can't believe how fast she's growing up!  I love all the tree blossoms in the spring and was excited to get out and take some pictures. A big shout out to Kim at Lapacek's Orchard for letting us come out on her birthday weekend!  If you're looking for a great spot to take your kids, you need to visit the orchard.

Joe + Jill = Engaged

I've known Joe since he was just a couple of years old.  Our families spent a ton of time together when we were growing up. I was so excited to meet his fiance, Jill and to get to take their engagement pictures. Jill is as wonderful and sweet as I had heard and I'm so happy that Joe has found her! Plus, they also brought their wonderful dog, Charlie along for the shoot. I'm pretty sure Charlie would be best friends with my Daisy May.  Congratulations Joe and Jill!  I'm looking forward to photographing your wedding!
