Yippee! Baby Adelea is here!  She was very cooperative and waited for her mom to get all her school work completed before making her entrance.... with beautiful red hair.   I love, love, love red hair! If I could make it so my kids had it, I absolutely would.  Adelea is absolutely adorable!  Congratulations Angie and Isaac!  I'm so happy for you both!

Elliana's Birthday: 3 years old

In the short time I've know Elliana, I've been amazed at the joy that radiates from her.  She has a smile that lights up the room and literally stretches from ear to ear.  Elliana has been diagnosed with Treacher Collin's Syndrome.  She is missing some important bones in her face which makes simple things like breathing, eating, and hearing difficult for her.  She has a determined spirit that makes her an inspiration to be around. 

I was blessed to have the opportunity to join her and her family for her 3rd birthday party, celebrating the removal of her trach and the wonderful nurses in her life.  The removal of Elliana's trach was a huge milestone for her!  Within an hour of being born she was intubated and 3 days later had her trach placed.  Except for that first hour, she has never known life without a breathing tube.

This party was also an opportunity for Becky and Brian (her parents) to publicly thank Elliana's nurses for all their amazing support over the years.  A team of 10 nurses have been working with Elliana.... some joined the team before she left the hospital.  I was touched to watch the nurses with her.  Elliana clearly adores them and they feel the same about her.  With the removal of her trach, the family's nursing team is no longer needed.

Angie & Isaac: Expecting

My friends are about to experience a new milestone in their lives and I couldn't be happier for them! I've been blessed to photograph some of their big moments, engagement pictures, wedding, and now a baby is on the way.  Baby Adelea is expected around the end of the month! Yeah! =) Congratulations Angie and Isaac!

Tanya & Bryce: Expecting

I was so excited when Tanya contacted me about taking their pictures. I've known her and Bryce since they were in high school and have had the pleasure of getting to know them better over the years. A few summers ago, Tanya and Bryce came to Jamaica to work with the kids I was teaching at an orphanage. When I think of them as a couple, I think of how great they were with the kids there. And now they have a little boy of their own on the way and I know they're going to be great parents! Congratulations Bryce and Tanya! I look forward to meeting your little one. 

  

  

 

Steven + Kristen: Engaged

Somehow in the hustle and bustle of fall I missed sharing exciting family news.... my brother proposed to his wonderfully sweet girlfriend.  I was lucky enough to do engagement pictures for them and had a great time.   My brother is clearly smitten.  I love it!  Congratulations Steven and Kristen!
